Karen Porter, CPA

Karen joined Fordham & Co LLP in 1991. As a manager in the Accounting and Auditing department, she provides audit and assurance services to a wide variety of clients.  She also contributes her expertise as a member of the firm’s Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) team.  Karen specializes in serving manufacturing companies, not-for-profit hospitals, retail organizations and professional services firms.

Karen began her career in accounting over 20 years ago with Fordham & Co LLP after earning a degree in accounting from Portland State University.  Throughout her professional career, Karen’s love of numbers and her passion for helping people have been consistently demonstrated in her day-to-day work.  While Karen attributes much of her success to the influence of her mentors and family members, her industry knowledge and dedication to her clients are what sets her apart from her peers.

A lifetime Oregon resident, Karen has a special interest in community-oriented projects.  She has provided compliance services to Wind Energy Company in order to help them obtain a product Green-e certification.

Karen resides in Hillsboro, Oregon.  Outside of the office, she loves to travel and spend time outdoors.  She enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, and cross country skiing in her spare time.  She has completed the week-long Cycle Oregon bicycle ride two times.
